"Miss Gia"

Senior Orton-Gillingham Instructor

Certified Dyslexia Specialist

Hello and welcome! My name is Miss Gia, and I’m the Student Coordinator and one of the educators here at Dyslexic Einstein! I’m so happy you’re here.

I’ve always been someone who truly loves learning, and I wholeheartedly believe that strong, trusting relationships between learners and educators make all the difference. Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the joy of teaching a wide range of ages, starting with Pre-K and eventually discovering my heart’s home in Special Education!

I am a deeply passionate educator who believes that great teaching is a meaningful blend of creativity, patience, and genuine connection. My goal is to bring the multi-sensory approach to life in an online setting, creating lessons that are engaging, supportive, and fun for every learner.

Since becoming certified by the Orton-Gillingham Academy, I’ve had the privilege of supporting learners across grade levels with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and other learning differences. Watching students grow in confidence and skills through 1:1 OG sessions is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work. Seeing those “lightbulb moments” never gets old!

One reason I’m so passionate about the Orton-Gillingham approach is how well it reflects what neuroscience teaches us. Dyslexia isn’t about intelligence, it’s simply a different way the brain processes language. With the right, brain-based instruction, we can strengthen neural pathways, build skills step by step, and help learners grow in confidence and ability.

Outside of teaching, I try to fill my time with things that bring me joy and help me give back. You can often find me reading stories at local libraries, cuddling animals at nearby shelters, or volunteering with the American Cancer Society, a cause that’s very close to my heart.

I am truly grateful to be part of the Dyslexic Einstein team. I can’t wait to build meaningful connections with my learners, celebrate their progress, and support each family throughout their educational journey. I’m so glad we get to learn and grow together!
