Step Up For Students empowers families to access the best possible learning options for their children.
SUFS is a state-approved, nonprofit scholarship funding organization that helps administer scholarships for Florida schoolchildren:

-
The donor-funded Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC) Program and the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO) helps K-12 students attend private schools.
-
The Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) empowers PK3-12th grade families to personalize the education of their students by directing funds to where they’re needed most.
-
The Personalized Education Program (PEP), which is part of FTC, for students who are not enrolled full time in private or public school
-
New Worlds Scholarship Accounts supports K-5 public school students who need additional academic support in reading and/or math.
-
The Transportation Stipend to help K-8 students travel to a public school of their choice.

Public education is rooted in the promise of equal educational opportunity, regardless of income, special needs or home address.
We consider Step Up For Students a partner of public schools, and these scholarships strengthen public education by offering options to all families so they can choose the learning environment that best meets their children’s individual needs.

Dyslexic Einstein Tutoring, LLC is a proud provider with Step Up For Students and families receiving the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities or the New Worlds Scholarship are reimbursed for 100% of their costs paid towards tuition. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to submit reimbursement requests to SUFS for their monthly tutoring expenses.

The Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA)
FES UA provides access to an education savings account (ESA) that functions like a flexible bank account from which you direct funds to pay for tuition and fees for a private school, therapies, tutoring and more. Families have the option to purchase products through MyScholarShop or services through EMA without having to pay out of pocket. However, they can still use providers or vendors outside of MyScholarShop and EMA for pre-approved purchases by paying upfront and submitting a reimbursement claim.

Available to Florida students age 3 through grade 12 or age 22, whichever comes first, who have a specific diagnosis.
$10,000 average scholarship for tuition and fees for a private school, homeschooling options, therapies, tutoring and more!

Private School Scholarships
Step Up For Students proudly offers the Private School Scholarship that covers tuition and fees at eligible private schools, and any remaining funds can be used to support your child’s education through expenses like registration, books, testing and other approved fees.
Students, regardless of household income, who are residents of Florida and eligible to enroll in a K-12 public school, can receive a scholarship worth an average of $8,000 to attend a private school that best meets their needs. These scholarships are available through the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program (FTC) and the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO).

Personalized Education Program (PEP) Scholarship
Florida students who are not full-time private or public school students can access the Personalized Education Program (PEP) through the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program. This scholarship provides an education savings account (ESA) to fund the educational needs of eligible students.

Scholarships are open to any K-12 Florida residents not enrolled in full-time private or public school regardless of household income. Students must be at least age 5 by September 1st of the school year they wish to enroll.
First priority is given to families with a household income of 185% of poverty or below as outlined in the income priority guidelines, renewing students of the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship and/or Family Empowerment Scholarship, and children in foster care or out-of-home care. Second priority is extended to families with a household income of 400% of poverty or below. Parents who want their students to receive priority funding because of household income must submit their income tax return to apply for a PEP scholarship.
